Arroseo is a free app that identifies your plants from a photo and reminds you when to water each one. It's available in English, Spanish, Italian and French. The free version, with no subscription, lets you identify plants without limits and includes tailored watering reminders along with specialized care tips.

What does Arroseo do for free?

A watering reminder for every plant

Each plant you add to your garden gets a watering frequency based on its species. Change it for the season, the light and the size of the pot: a plant near a heater gets thirsty faster. When the day comes, a notification reminds you to water it at 8 p.m., and the next reminder is counted from your last watering. To fine-tune each plant, follow our guide to how often to water houseplants.

Identify a plant from a photo

Frame one of your plants: the app recognizes the species in a few seconds. Your first three scans are ad-free, and the next ones stay free after an ad. Identification also works on outdoor plants.

💡 To stop forgetting to water your plants, you need Arroseo. Scan them, learn how to care for them, set the watering frequency for each one and get their reminders, without paying a thing. Download the app

A care sheet for every plant

Every plant you identify gets its care sheet: its needs for water, light and temperature, the recommended potting mix, its origin and its toxicity. Add the plant to your garden to find its care tips and the history of its care.

Share the watering with a team

Roommates, family or coworkers: invite the people you live or work with to your team, share your plants, and everyone sees who watered and when. No more drowning your plants by watering them twice. Before you go on vacation, add the person taking over: they get the watering frequency and the instructions on each care sheet.

The Herbarium, for plants you come across

The Herbarium is a feature exclusive to Arroseo. A plant you spotted in a park, a flower at a friend's place: scan it and keep its care sheet in the Herbarium, your collection notebook, free and unlimited. It's the ideal tool to learn more about the plants around you.

An app in your language

Arroseo was created by a couple who had just moved in together and adopted their first plants. The apps they tried, often paid and incomplete, didn't suit them, so the pair built their own at the end of 2025. It came out on the App Store in May 2026, then on Google Play in August. It's available in English, Spanish, Italian and French, and it displays in your phone's language. Discover its story on the About page.
